Taken from a comment in bug #239:

applies to idlenotifier, too. if i use my bt keyboard the screen is dimmed + blanked.

ugly workaround as statet in description: restart the framework after all input devices are attached (exist as /dev/input/eventX).

We should listen to kobject notifies for addition/removal of event nodes and then monitor these as well.
