Description
I am running a straight Milestone 1 image with the recommended kernel. I have been using the phone with no problem for several days. It's been about 36 hours since I last rebooted.
My phone was suspended and someone called me. The call went to my provider's voicemail. I woke the phone. The cell strength was > 80%. I asked them to call again. The call still went to my provider's voicemail.
I made an outgoing call, which worked fine. After that, incoming calls worked on the phone again.
All this happened in the same location within about 5 minutes. I did have very low or possibly no signal strength when the phone suspended, if that helps to discern the nature of the problem.
I don't have ssh access to the phone at work, so tonight I will try to get in & get the gsm logs and attach them.

That sounds like http://docs.openmoko.org/trac/ticket/1024 rather than a bug in ogsmd. You can run 'mdbus -s -l' in a screen terminal session on your device and have a look whether you get frequent 'unregistration' updates.
Closing this for now.

BTW, my image files are: uImage-2.6.24+git0+9250c1fc7d6f62075d14ad8f396748490a55d61e-r0-om-gta01.bin Openmoko-fso-image-glibc-ipk-P1-Snapshot-20080622-om-gta01.rootfs.jffs2
And I'm on a gta01, of course.
Oh, crap... I said I was on the standard kernel; that's not true. I was on a kernel that I built on July 5.
I will switch to the standard kernel and see if I can get the same issue again.
