standalone functionality for subsystems

Description

I want to be able to check out one subsystem directory from git and start this subsystem daemon without needing the rest of the framework infrastructure.

This is (among other needs) necessary for OM ASU integration.

Is this solved with the -s option of frameworkd?

Since ASU is no longer an issue and we have the -s option which works for using subsystems standalone I think this can be closed.
